The Spring/Summer Haute Couture Show in Paris is my favourite of all the fashion weeks.

It never fails to put on the most elaborately-staged runway shows, showcase the most incredible designs and, of course, amazingly diverse hair.
This year, we saw a fabulous mirrored runway from CHANEL at the Grand Palais, with beautiful, jewel-encrusted gowns and a slightly boyish look to the hair with sleek, deep partings.

Jean Paul Gaultier went for an 80s feel using contrasting colours and bold patterns. With urban and rural influences it was, as the great man himself described it: “Where the bright lights of the city sparkle above country fields.”

But my favourite show of the week had to be Dior at the Musee Rodin – the 18th century mansion dedicated to the celebrated sculptor of The Kiss, The Thinker and The Gates of Hell.
Celebrities – Eva Herzigová, Kirsten Dunst and Diane Kruger – were out in force to see Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first haute couture show for the fashion house.

With boxwood hedging and a mirrored ceiling, set designers created a fairytale maze in the museum’s formal gardens.
Whimsical gowns and delicate accessories – bejewelled flowers and ethereal butterflies – were mixed with sharp, monochrome silhouettes.

It was a real spectacle, and the hair was stunning, too, with floral headpieces, intricate braiding and cute texture.
I’ll definitely be drawing some inspiration from these looks and incorporating it to my salon and session looks for spring-summer 2017.

If you haven’t already checked out the highlights from the Haute Couture Show in Paris, it’s well worth a look.
