Make the most of your curls, writes Cream's Artistic Director Dean Brindley...

After having a chat with one of my lovely clients, Lucie, who has a gorgeous mane of natural curls, we came to the conclusion there are a lot of people who fight their curls – probably because they don’t really know how to make the most of them.
So here are a few of my tips to help embrace those gorgeous curls.
Curly hair generally needs a lot of moisture, so using good moisture products is key. Think conditioners, oils, serums and waxes. Leaving your hair to dry naturally is a brilliant way to keep that ‘frizz’ at bay, but especially at this time of year, that’s not always possible or practical.
So the biggest tip I can give is to never “quick dry” your hair.
It needs to be more controlled using a diffuser with minimal movement.
Secondly, always let it cool down before ‘scrunching’ and applying product. This will keep those curls defined as much as possible.
Bring back those curls!
