The 90's comeback...

The 90's comeback...

So the 1990’s are making a huge comeback!! In fashion and hair the 1990’s are everywhere. Think combat trousers, bomber jackets, spaghetti straps and chokers and hair takes a 90’s vibe with the return of The Undercut!

The undercut originated in the punk era, and again massive in the ’90s”. “The resurgence of grunge and androgyny has definitely seen the undercut re-enter mainstream fashion – it’s a great look for spring/summer 2016.

Stars including Kelly Osbourne, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have made shaved hair increasingly popular although it tends to be those with an edgy style, who are prepared to take the plunge at her salon.

“Maintaining the undercut means going to the salon regularly”. “You need to go back every two to three weeks to keep your shaved sections looking slick rather than fuzzy.”

If you do decide to brave the shave, however, the results equal instant cool, and the style is surprisingly versatile. Just recently, Rita Ora has been experimenting with colouring her shaved tresses yellow, but if your not feeling that brave fear not as there is a subtle undercut version for everyone. Extreme half head undercuts look stunning but are only for the brave, so think small cheeky little hidden undercuts on the side sections of hair or even well and truly hidden underneath in the nape of the neck. You can fade the undercut, add a quirky, bespoke pattern or add a rainbow tint to the cut… The choice is yours

So embrace the 90’s vibe and undercut away…
