London Collection Men #LCM

Last week saw London host its annual men’s fashion week the London Collections Men. LCM is fast becoming a huge event in the fashion calendar and men’s fashion is increasing globally to rival the women’s twice annually fashion weeks. London is the fashion epi-centre for menswear and the capitol was dazzled over four days with incredible design, culture and emerging trends. So you could imagine the sheer delight when our very own artistic directors Will Eagles and Dean Brindley got the phone call to ask them to be part of the Schwarzkopf Professional UK ambassadorial hair team working at LCM!! Such a huge honour and such an exciting coup for our styling duo so early in this new year.

With LCM being hosted all over London in different venues, Will, Dean and the team were first sent to a briefing day (briefed by head of the hair team John Vial and by the designers who they would be working on later in the week). The day consisted of colours, hair cuts and in-depth hair styling looks on the models. A hectic day consisting of on the last count over twenty five hair colours!!

Will and Dean worked backstage at four shows over LCM and included the menswear designers Charles Jefferey @ Loverboy, Craig Green, Joshua Kane and Christopher Shannon. Each show was wildly unique ranging from Charles showing young, club inspired looks to Joshua showcasing high end, bespoke, razor sharp, gentlemen’s tailoring, so equally all the hair shapes, colours and styles had to follow suit. The whole hair team worked tirelessly on getting the right textures and looks to work with the designers visions and at the hectic backstage venues hair and make up were at full throttle and at times working on nearly 50 make models at a time.

Frantic and frazzled backstage but once the models glided down the catwalk to there awaiting fashionistas and eyes of the world all looked polished, serene and totally amazing. The whole of LCM was an incredible kaleidoscope of fashion, music, design and celebrity and we couldn’t be more thrilled to of been a part of it. Will and Dean would like to thank Schwarzkopf Professional, John Vial and all of the UK ambassadorial hair team for a truly wonderful opportunity and a great, hectic, inspiring week…
