Menswear is booming for boys and girls!!
With the London Collections Men’s recently reported about, and it being a global smash, for a while now women have borrowed styling tricks from the guys from the high street to the catwalks… But this recent collection has showcased some major inspiration for womenswear. Gender-specific dressing has been brought to the for-front recently and with a more feminine direction in menswear design the lines are being blurred into how male and females dress this year.
A crossover collection from men’s to women’s see’s the high street awash with merged menswear sneaking its way into your wardrobes. Take Sam Smith, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars and Nick Grimshaw all spotted out in feminine silk blouses style shirts and quite frankly rocking the look too, so it’s time to double your wardrobe girls and start stealing back your blouses, and whilst your there you may want to steal these summer menswear staples too…
Men’s slim line leather biker jackets look great slung over skinny cigarette trousers and worn with an oversized vintage rolled up t-shirt is a great paired down casual look. Men’s super soft cashmere pastel shade jumpers are perfect for those chilly summer nights and of course androgyny inspired short hair crops are all everyone is talking about at the moment!! Short feminine haircuts are teamed with the right glossy yet gritty hair product and it really tops off this whole “stole it from the boyfriend look”….
