Twelve years on, and the hair giant is getting set to launch a new styling tool, the ghd platinum, which promises to straighten and curl in just one stroke, as well as make hair healthier in the process.
The premise behind the latest irons is that it takes the guilt out of heat styling thanks to the brand’s ‘revolutionary tri-zone technology’.
The idea is that six intelligent sensors, three in each plate, mean there’s no sudden surge or drop in temperature – both of which can be detrimental to hair health and styling results. The heat is delivered evenly and constantly thanks to the technology, which is kinder to your hair colour as well as reducing hair breakage by over 50 per cent and increasing shine by 20 per cent. On top of that, the plates employ a unique wishbone hinge that holds the plates in perfect alignment giving you more control, making it easier for you to create any style, including curls and waves as well as the signature straight look on all hair types….
