Let's talk "Kimye"...

I couldn’t let this week go past without talking about the wedding of the year!! Reality TV star Kim Kardashian married rapper Kanye West last weekend in a lavish Italian ceremony at Fort di Belvedere in Florence. The mega star couple who are no strangers to being followed constantly by paparazzi or endless film crews, kept all cameras out of the intimate ceremony and were joined by family and closet friends only. The Florence sunshine cascaded over a huge wonderwall of flowers as the couple exchanged vows and famed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli serenaded Kim and Kanye with several of his songs. The wedding ceremony was the culmination of an opulent weekend of festivities including fireworks that lit up the Florence sky, performances from Lana del Rey, John Legend, a seven foot wedding cake and even an instant photo booth for guests to pap themselves in their wedding finery!!

So with details out of the way let’s talk the wedding FASHION… Starting with the bride who wore a one of a kind mermaid silhouette gown that featured delicate white lace sheer panels, with a backless detail, long sleeves, train and a cathedral length veil all custom made for her by Givenchy Haute Couture. Kim’s raven dark hair was worn loose and long with a classic centre parting and just the perfect amount of height, bounce and wave. Her make-up was demure and flawless. Simply stunning!! Kanye also wearing custom made Givenchy, opted for a black suit, and set the tone for all male guests who all followed suit and wore black.

The bridesmaids, Kim’s sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie were all dressed in white one of a kind Givenchy too and looked equally flawless with figure hugging gowns and incredible hair and make-up!!
