Menswear Week...

Hot of the heels of last weeks report on London’s men’s fashion week LCM, the whole fashion focus this month is on men’s fashion. Fast becoming more mainstream than ever men’s fashion and hair is so hot right now…

For years men’s hair has taken a back seat but 2016 is all about a huge trend direction for gender less fashion and a very strong androgynous feel is happening in menswear, from bespoke tailoring to ‘something about nothing’ effortless hair. Strong graphic barber style haircuts of last year are being grown out in favour of a longer, softer movement in men’s hair.

Spotted on the runway and the streets the hair style of choice amongst the designers at men’s fashion week autumn winter 2016-2017 is a mid length haircut. It was seen on virtually every model and whether a reference to 1970’s boy bands, 1990’s schoolboys or the quintessential California beach vibe look, this is the throwback hair trend that is guaranteed to give you a fashion head start… Teamed with natural hair colour hues of matte biscuit blonde to a cool hazelnut brown and with just the right amount of dry finishing clay this is the look of the year, so guys getting growing “The Mid-length Look of 2016”…

So make menswear week every week and visit Dean Brindley who just so happened to be responsible for styling these looks backstage at the recent London Collection Men, or Bryn Whitmore current Hairdressers Journal Barber of the Year, both in our Cheltenham salon for a step in the right style direction…
