The world of hair colour has turned upside down over the last two years with the arrival of Òmbre… The hair colour technique of creating light and shade with the one colour application. It’s a beautiful way to colour hair and incorporates deeper roots with soft mid-lengths and lighter cooler ends. Whether it’s a subtle Òmbre, ballayage, ecaille or baby light technique that is used the overall effect is a gorgeous combination of contrasting colours that melt into each other. This colour trend has taken every salon by storm and it shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Òmbre can be seen on every celebrity but the most amazing transformation of light and shade has to be ‘Khloe Kardashian’…. her beautiful colour transformation is the most requested colour of the year and it has seen her start as a brunette, to Òmbre to now a fully fledged member of the blonde club. So before you head to the salon with armed with a picture of Khloe hers the process behind her colour transformation (and its a longer process than you may think)…Most clients expect to look like Khloe in one colour session, but most people must have a colour progression from their existing colour. Khloe started off from a dark expresso brown, to a lighter chocolate, to a warm dark blonde, then to a pale dark blonde with lots of highlights to finally he lightest base colour and lashings of Òmbre ends. Always listen to professionals when wanting to lighten hair to the extreme as most of the time hair need lots of tender loving care during the lightening process.
