Essential Looks Inspire UK...

As our salon is proud partners with Schwarzkopf, twice a year every year Schwarzkopf produce “The Essential Looks. A hair and fashion bible for every Schwarzkopf salon. Essential Looks takes inspiration from international fashion runways and condenses it into distinct trends, all incredibly diverse, each set to ignite creative hairdressers imaginations.
Essential Looks celebrates hairdressers passion for hair, for fashion, for future and encompasses it into a luxuriously glossy trend book, digital app and breathtaking catwalk shows and stage events featuring live cuts and colours. This is all created by Schwarzkopf Global Ambassador Tyler Johnston and Global Colour Ambassador Leslie Jenninson. Both true tour de force’s in the hairdressing world and I recently had the honour of working along side them for a three day photo shoot Inspire UK!
Inspire UK is a relatively new concept where Schwarzkopf select stylists to create a UK version of inspired images to coincide with the launch of the Autumn/Winter Essential Looks in September. I was lucky enough to of been selected to take part this season and had a whirlwind, creative three days in London. I was joined by a team of four super talented stylists from across the country and together we came up with our chosen looks for the Inspire shoot. We all met with Tyler and he demonstrated the selected looks from this seasons Essential Looks that we were to take inspiration from and with our models chosen for us we set to work on three fourteen hour days of hair preparation, cuts, colours, styling, make-up, clothes styling fittings and creative collaborations between us all…
The day of the shoot was where all our hard work paid off and we each created two looks on each model comprising of a stunning collection of eight images to be released later in the year. Sadly I can’t share any info as to what the models looked like or as to what the collection was themed around as its all TOP SECRET until the Essential Looks is launched in September… all I can say it that is such a unique and exciting concept that Schwarzkopf has devised and I can’t wait for everyone to see the looks later on in the year…
