It was the hottest ticket in town this week and with only a handful of very lucky fashionistas and VIP guests snagging front row seats the annual London Mens Collection kicked off in magnificent style! The annual collection of men’s fashion is fast becoming the equivalent of the leading ladies fashion weeks and this year saw the collection go from strength to strength and taking a stellar lead into the coming year of spring/summer, autumn/winter fashion for 2015…
With major fashion powerhouses like Burberry, JW Anderson, Christopher Raeburn, Maharishi and YMC showcasing there emerging trends and with star studded front rows of specially invited celebrities ( Vouge cover girl Jourdan Dunn, Anna Wintour, Nick Grimshaw, David Gandy and Tinie Tempah to name but a few…) the male fashion bar has been raised incredibly high. So for 2015 fashion takes on a bohemian vibe, with vibrant out wear and classic tailoring, fused with a colour palette of ivy green, taupe, and muted purple and with Paisley shirts and shearling coats making a comeback the more classic, sharper bohemian trend was born!
Think suede, jumbo cord and take lessons in layering (as layering clashing prints is a key trend) and team all this with grainy leather oversized travel bags for that right on spring look.
So with the fashion nailed all that’s left is the ultimate accessory “ The Haircut of 2015”… A fresher approach to grooming will play a key part to this years looks and the infamous hipster bushy beard of 2014 will be much more cared for and streamlined and hair will take a laid-back 90’s vibe with sharp nipped sides, free flowing waves and texture being worked through longer length on top, and classic barber skill will be on point ready for the resurgence of “The French Crop” (classic crop with a strong outline)…
