  I wrote about this emerging trend last year but grey hair shows no sign of of slowing down as the surprise must-have cult hair colour of 2016… but it’s taken a new fresh direction as the colour of the season is called Greige… A softer blend of grey and beige with a hint of pink… It’s lighter and fresher than the concrete grey requested last year. Greige is a hybrid mix of deep grey, fused with a beige base and just the right amount of added oyster pink!!

  Last weekend Cream were lucky enough to get an invite to a unique event. Set in a dis-used warehouse in Balham London, Schwarzkopf Professional hosted the first of its kind pop up event. Colour World London UK concept was born and brought to life for hundreds of invited hairdressers from all over the country. It’s the first opportunity anyone in the industry has to show colour off at a cool, hybrid event. Schwarzkopf Professional loves innovation, so this is perfect place for us to be; it’s up close and personal, educational and inspirational.

  Over recent weeks we have seen a huge celebrity trend for jaw dropping hair transformations to becoming blonde bombshells. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Jennifer Lawrence have all became full on blonde icons. So yes it’s official Blonde is back and in a BIG way!! Forget the soft and natural the bleach blonde is back and it’s definitely here to stay.

  So the world over has become huge fans of the balayage colouring trend, sun kissed colour that looks so easy breezy and natural and so easy to maintain. However whilst the balayage technique is amazing for mid-to-dark blondes and lighter brunettes, the technique doesn’t always have the desire effect on darker hair tones, as darker hair is harder to lift to lighter shades successfully.
