Now we are well and truly into autumn, and winter is just around the corner, it’s a great season for a colour revamp.

Let’s look at the colours that will be gliding down the catwalks and high streets alike as the leaves turn and colder weather sets in.

Brunettes:
For those who like the richness of a brunette, it’s going to be a touch darker than your normal shade. Think deep espresso or milky chocolates, which were a big hit with the likes of Balmain and Alexander Wang at London Fashion Week

Blondes:
It’s all about toning down those steely greys and turning to softer creamier/ chalky tones or even nude tones.

Reds:
The big trend change is the reds and coppers. Think cinnamon to raspberry, whether it’s a full-on one colour or a take on a balayage, reds always look gorgeous this time of year.

Just remember the cold can play just as much havoc with your hair as the sunshine, so be sure to chose a bond protector when having your hair coloured. Good aftercare, too, will keep your locks looking their best as the weather turns.

Hero products:
We love Schwarzkopf’s Fibreplex Bond Protector and Schwarzkopf’s BC Colour Freeze after-care range.
